Someone suggested an idea for the third event and I dismissed it immediately but, with more thought and a recent discovery, there may be a way to do it.
The suggestion was that if no women want to take part in the Vote-Off events, maybe I could use paid models instead. The Vote-Offs were designed as a combination of suggestions from community members and a means to raise some money to keep this community running. Paying for models would instantly undermine that aim, costing FAR more than any potential return.
Most of you already know that, about 20 years ago, I started two nudity-based paysites and those became my full-time job for a decade or so. Today, I was going through an old external HDD when I discovered some stock photos I had completely forgotten. They are close enough in format to be used in a Vote-Off. Several women wearing normal clothing progressing to fully naked. The sticking point is that they are not community members or even volunteers. Does that mean they lose all meaning?
What does everyone think?

Personally playing against old photos would not interest me. The fun would be knowing the women also submitted photos and are hoping I, rather than them, would be exposed.
There used to be plenty of women playing at adultslosing.com….so am surprised no women can be found.

That’s pretty much what I thought but I never intend to pit men against women in the Vote-Offs. It’s got to be all men or all women.
Of the hundreds of sites I keep tabs on, Adultlosing.com wasn’t one of them. Never heard of it. I’ll check it out.

Dozens of members of this community have spent years trying to encourage women to take part. I’ve spoken with something like 60+ women in the past 2 years, but even when they join the community, they rarely return after the first week.

Preserving anonymity of course, but are the majority of votes that have been cast in previous vote off events by the participants or by others?
If, say, the number of voters far exceeds the number of participants then there is a desire from the community to ensure the volunteers are stripped – and can presumably be thought to prefer the immediacy of the participants being current members. Hmm, perhaps participants should be more “vocal” on the site at how the event is going..?
If the voters are mainly the participants, then that may say something about the popularity of the contest as a website funds raising activity and also the viability of future Naked Experiment activities where there could be a cost to the participants.
For me, I wouldn’t feel it necessary to pay to vote on “old photos”. I recall the times you tried that with free votes and it was tough to get enough votes each time for that!
I think there was the most interaction on the site with the weekly challenge…?

In terms of visitors to the site and pageviews, the Vote-Off events are by far the most popular thing we’ve ever done. The first one saw more people visit the site on one day than the previous 2 months. The second was only about half as successful. Not sure if that was the loss of novelty with it not being a new thing, fewer participants or having participants from the previous event. Without doing more, it’s hard to tell. It’s entirely possible a third event would be a failure going on the current “curve”.
I can’t keep spending the time I do, trying to get female participants. I don’t have that much available time and it’s been a total waste of effort so far.
With the Vote-Offs, it seems that (so far) the big vote buyers are always the participants. They make up a minority of the voters but buy more votes than all the non-participants added together. In both events, at least one participant did not purchase any votes.

Have you tried advertising the vote off on getdare.com? Am sure lots of people there would be interested to vote and take part?

Running the Vote-Off events is a huge amount of work for me over a week or so. The first one was a much bigger success than I expected. It caused a drastic increase in visitors, a lot of activity around the event pages, in particular, led to more than double the usual number of new signups and raised some much-needed money towards the upkeep of the site. I was thrilled that it worked so well.
Over the following three months, we lost over half of the Community Supporters (they never tell me why) so I was extra keen to get the second event going, especially before the momentum from the first one was lost. Christmas, the renewed lockdown and other impacts from the pandemic delayed things somewhat. I’m hoping those also contributed to the subdued outcome too.
We need to find some way to liven things up for event 3: More participants, more viewers, or female participants (or couples if that’s more acceptable).
Right now, it feels like whatever I do, we never hit any sort of critical mass and whenever I mention this, everyone tells me to work harder in one area or another.

I like the idea of men vs women so 2 men 2 women playing against pictures is not bad i would like of the girls they are of become part of the site

Regarding getdare….someone posted a long post with links to external websites where people can play strip games. The mods moved it to the correct sun forum but did not delete it 🙂 Do I think adding a link to vote off in that thread seems feasible 🙂

I think I’ll need to source a selfie stick, pictures with a phone in your hand are a nightmare, but I’d be interested. No sign of any women?
I guess with the volume of men in the group a mixed game would have a predictable outcome?

Unless we could get 4 couples to volunteer, I think mixed gender games are a non-starter. The women would win the vote every round.
Propping your phone on something (or using a tripod if you can) and using the timer function seems to be the best way to take the photos, unless you can find someone to take the photos for you.
My old Windows Mobile phone had voice control so that was easy, but Android doesn’t seem to support that for some bizarre reason.

The idea of a calendar has been discussed at least twice in the past. I think the general consensus that it would incur significant costs to set up and would only achieve sufficient sales to make it worthwhile if a decent proportion of the participants were women. I got as far as designing some of the months (with groups of participants involved in relevant activities) and working out potential locations but if all the nudity is male I doubt we’d sell more than around 10-20 copies. With female involvement, that could increase many fold.
A few people suggested individual photos sent in by members of this community, but I cannot imagine that being marketable or reliably high enough photographic quality.

Hi from South Africa. But then they are not actually playing. Isn’t the game supposed to be live? Like people willingly playing and participating against each other?

Participants send their photos several days before the Vote-Off begins. The voting, discussion and results are live, but it’s debatable as to whether you would say the stripping is live – all participants have essentially already stripped. The way the voting goes decides who gets their exposed photos published and how quickly.
The women I have photos of are real women, photographed in advance (just much longer in advance than Vote-Offs so far) and I own full rights to use the photos.
My aims are to provide some fun for community members, encourage more people to join the community (VERY important) and raise some money towards running costs (also VERY important).
I’m not about to use the photos unless the general consensus amongst community members is in favour.

Round 9 is going everyone. 3 of us on 2 votes, and me and Al are potentially down to covering with our hands later tonight.
The other 2 aren’t far behind us, there’ll possibly be a lot of flesh on display later so get voting 🙂

It did for a few days – things were going pretty well. Then, suddenly, the votes stopped.
I’m hoping things pick up again. Not that there’s much time left now. It will probably end very soon.
