I’m not sure I do know what works best. lol.
I think the count of 6 is about right (not counting the verification photo) to not get too long while giving room for competition. I like having a different theme for each Vote-Off but so many people have complained that such things make it impossible for them or too difficult to take part.
I keep opening debate (for many of the vote-offs) on what the photos (or video) should be but consensus is rare.

I don’t have a date set for starting the voting yet as no-one has sent photos yet. We need a minimum of 4 participants, although I’d much prefer 6.
I was hoping for more discussion about the photo specifics but it seems everyone is happy with them as they are.
To be honest, my main worry is there doesn’t seem much interest in voting amongst non-participants. We probably need around 5-10 voters but it would be fun to have a LOT more.

No, not too late at all!
The Vote Off Instructions page announced that Ed was ready to receive participant’s submissions weeks ago, but no one seemed to notice. I made an announcement about it on this thread last weekend.

Just to clarify, there is no set closing date. I can’t close submissions until we have enough people to run the vote-off. If I close before then the vote-off won’t happen.

One submission so far and that doesn’t match the photo list (clothes off in wrong order). I haven’t heard from Martin or NakedMadCat either. Sangroid5k sent some photos but only 4 and they don’t match the photo list either. He’s since stopped replying.

I don’t blame you.
The parameters for participation in the Vote-Off couldn’t be clearer. I can’t imagine why folks would say they’ll participate in an event intended to raise some funds to further this site but then just ghost you or submit unusable entries.
Regards the latter. There’s plenty of space to post their own thing on the forums and discussion boards (within the site rules), and plenty of room for interpretation of the MDL items.
But the Vote-Off is a contest that hopes to get people to spend a few bucks to cast votes so the site can keep going. Every participant has to have the same comparable set of photos to keep it simple and straightforward.
I guess you’re just expected to keep everything running to suit everyone’s desire and expectations and also pay for it all out of your own pocket.
Guess I’m demoralized too, but, Hang in There! And let me know if there’s anything more I can do.

@Ed I have an idea. How about instead of waiting to get 4-6 people together and wearing the same clothing sequence that you instead post any one person on the front of the website as soon as you have their permission and photos and allow people to pay to strip them naked. Any time during the year you get any submission whatsoever, go ahead and post them to be stripped for cash. You could set a time limit or leave them up until people finally get them in the Nude. Might take 1 week or it might take 3 months….

It’s the competition between participants that raises the money. The desire to win or not win (yes some people try not to end up naked) drives the voting. With just one participant, that’s not going to work.
There’s a very good reason why I don’t post the vote-offs on the front page (although I do announce it there). Having naked men on the front page reduces visitors to the site a lot, so I have to avoid that. It’s a constant challenge to get new visitors to come here so scaring them away is something I have to avoid.

Hi all,
sorry I’ve not been around for a while, then last couple of days I had a problem logging in, but it looks like the issue is resolved now. I did have some photos ready to send to Ed but I decided to re-shoot. These are now, I think ready, and hopefully will comply with the size specification, so I’ll send them off soon.
I hope there are a few more participants, it does seem like it’s only a few middle aged white guys willing to flash themselves to other middle aged white guys.
I have been pushing Naked Experiment on groups I’m in on Teleguard and Telegram, obviously Ed won’t be able to tell if any recent visitors are from there, or from Twitter/X or google, but fingers crossed.

It’s looking pretty good that we can hit the minimum 4 participants, but I have another question I want to ask everyone:

I made the suggestion to try and encourage more voting in the competition, feel free if you think it will help.
I’m aware I’m not exactly a looker these days, but if you want to post the other pics at the appropriate time that is also fine. You could make this man lose his clothes etc

Hi there, I wonder if it could help participants to take part by making clear, the pictures can be taken far away from public (at home, in the forest, …) As I noticed the Vote Off 8 today, I am motivated to participate in female clothing. … This will take a few days as I have to find a good place, but it might encourage all genders for the next round.

Is there anything that would encourage non-participants to vote (other than female participants)?
Maybe if only voters could see the vote-off results? Or would that put off participants from taking part?

That idea had crossed my mind as well. It might create more incentive for voting and also encourage more participants since they wouldn’t be put out there open to the entire internet, just the registered membership. And that might encourage more browsers to join. Might even make a difference to potential female participants.

I don’t think any current volunteers have expressed an intent to only take part if it’s public, which is good.
Making it supporters-only will drop viewers by around 95%.

No, I didn’t mean supporters only. As I understand anyone who just registers on the site is allowed to purchase votes, not just the paying Patreon members. But come to think of it, I don’t know that; if non-members can purchase votes then certainly don’t change that, there’s the biggest source of income!
But limiting viewership to those who vote would be a good idea if we want to give people a reason to buy vote packets in the first place, as it is why should anyone spend a penny (pence ?) when they’re free to see the results either way?
I still think this would encourage more volunteers because they know the only people looking are those that took an active interest in the contest rather than just random members of the public surfing through, some of whom we already know do not exactly have the best intentions in their hearts. It would certainly make me feel better about the potential exposure.
While on the subject, I think it would be more of a contest if participants could not vote, or at least not for themself. The way it is now it seems mostly a contest of which participant wants to loose – or win – enough to buy their way there. By this, I certainly intend no criticism of any past & current volunteers! I’m addressing how it seems or appears to the general audience who may be put off paying to vote if they’re thinking they don’t really have much effect on the outcome. Look at us in the States, the average voter turnout to the polls is truly abysmal.

I can’t make it voters only. That’s not an option.
One of the complications there is that I change the photos as each win happens. There is no way to keep the current state of each participant public AND restricted to voters only. The only way I can think of doing that is to only display the first photos on the event page and have the current state-of-dress photos in a restricted area (which I can’t really do) and isn’t going to encourage new voters.

What would persuade you to donate a few bucks/pounds to cast a set of votes on the contest? (Keeping in mind that it’s a fun way of helping Ed keep the site up and running!)
– but I wonder, Ed, if a new thread would be a good place to pose the question, I’m not sure people not thinking about voting are following this one? Mostly the people posting in this thread seem to be just the ones considering participating.

Four people so far. I haven’t got time right now to check the folders, but I’ll release a list later. No idea when it will start. If no-one but participants will vote, then 4 people will not to cut it. Also, I’m busy for the next couple of weeks and running the event usually takes 3-4 extra hours (or more) per day of my time.
If we had a lot of people keen to vote, thus raising a decent amount of money, it’s worth my time. If we’ve only got 4 people voting then it probably won’t earn one month’s running costs (and I’ll have put in 40-50 hours of my time into it

Depends on the others, but extra forfeit for the winner/loser?
Skype call with Ed, the winner and people that voted for him, where the winner has to undress live on camera for the voters and remain naked for the rest of tbe meeting?
I’d hang around for a natter if it was say a Saturday evening, may need a glass of wine though.
Sure there are other suggestions, but the general idea is provide something extra for those who vote.

Unfortunately, that would be very awkward for me. There are probably some weekday mornings I could do that, but it’s hard to predict in advance. Saturdays (and Sundays) would be impossible. My household is busy and my kids would be around.

With my leg now healed and some time available this weekend, I am going to re-shoot the pictures so they are in the sequence of Vote off #8 and email them to @Ed I will purchase a few votes when its time to launch. Soon, I will grace the site fully clothed and who knows, I may end up fully NAKED!

My interest in the site was the naked experiments which, according to the blog, are “The original reason for this site and still a core element”. But it has not been possible to resume these after lockdown due to sustained imbalance between available male and female participants.
As such, I don’t have a great interest in voting, except for the understanding that web sites cost money to run and without regular participation there is little point in running the site.
If by buying some votes I might help to keep the site running for long enough to restart the experiments, that would be a good reason for doing so, despite not really being interested in the outcome of the vote itself.

A female member pointed out a reason why we will probably never get female participants for the Vote-Off.
Essentially, if any woman is willing to be seen naked online and wants large numbers of people to see her, why would she join the Vote-Off when she could open an Only-Fans account instead and make a lot of money?
That may not be true in all cases, but I can see how it would hold in most cases. Combine that with our low female member count and we’ll need a LOT of female members before we get a few volunteers. And by a “LOT”, I’m probably meaning tens of thousands.
Is that even possible?

I follow a couple of nudist and exhibitionist groups on Quora with female members who post photos of themselves. I drop a link to here but it doesn’t look like anyone clicks through.
Yes it’s true to say a woman willing to pose naked and blatantly could make money on onlyfans but I would have thought the nature of this group would tempt the shyer dare-I-be-a-nudist people of both sexes to have a go.
I know you’re busy but perhaps try Quora or telegram, as you do with Twitter, as a feeder? -

I’ve only written up 3 of the 5 experiments (sales are almost non-existent) and there have been three near-misses with more recent experiment sessions which fell through in the latter stages of planning.
I should get around to hitting the classified advertising sites again. I had a lot more success there in finding candidates than I do here (which is quite annoying!)

Sorry – I have been so bust these past few months, new job, new responsibilities.
About free to vote but pay to participate.
Speaking for the vote-offs where I took part, I paid for many votes. Mostly to try and make sure I won, sometimes to see someone else naked and occasionally because nobody was voting.That’s my long-winded way of saying I paid to vote in the past, so (when I take part next) it makes zero difference for me to pay to participate.
If this gets more people involved and voting then that’s a real win for the site

How do prospective participants feel about
a) £10 ($12)
b) £15 ($18)
c) £20 ($24)I seem to remember buying about £15 of votes in each Vote-off, so I’m happy with that level.
The 2 remaining questions are:
1. Does this stop people taking part?
2. Does 4 participants x £15 (£60) make it worthwhile? -
Based on photo Vote-Offs taking several weeks to run (I’m ignoring the weeks/months leading up to it), that would probably mean £10-20 per week income for the duration. At that rate, I’d need to run at least one Vote-Off per month to cover costs and that would mean me working pretty much full-time to achieve that. Not viable.
The first Vote-Off worked really well, but I guess the novelty wore off.

£15 => £14.26 income (after PayPal fees). To match vote-off #1, it would need 8 participants. That could work.
I think the demoralising thing is that I hoped there would be a vague upward trend in voting. Essentially that was the only Vote-Off which I feel was worthwhile.
