Weekly Dare Challenge: Week #12

Here is the twelfth weekly dare (how brave are you feeling?):

This week’s dare is another outdoor challenge. As temperatures have dropped since last week for many of us, this could add another level of bravery to this one. You must take a photo of yourself completely naked and uncovered outdoors next to an obvious piece of street furniture (street sign/postbox/phonebox/public bench). As before, you are allowed to obscure your face if you wish. The photo should be taken in daylight or good street lighting.

Note: If public nudity is illegal in your country, I would strongly recommend skipping this dare. NakedExperiment is not encouraging you to break any laws.

 

As always, I will judge if photos pass the dare and my decisions are final. Please get out there on social media and encourage as many people as you can to join in the fun or even just to see all the photos. More people taking part means more fun for everyone. It would be great to have some more women beat the challenges too!

Our weather was terrible last week.  Waited hours for rain and lightning to let up so I could complete #11.

Well, as a Naked Experiment in seeing how far people will go, maybe we’re near the answer.

I wish I could do this, by the way, but I don’t live anywhere near the sea.

Time has been my biggest blocker, and finding somewhere suitable.

The naked bit doesn’t bother me,  the chance of being caught naked is exciting but the concern over the reaction is what’s holding me back.

Regarding being caught, I definitely don’t want to annoy or upset or scare anyone. That’s a problem in society – being offended by nakedness is insane but it’s a reality. I was confident I’d see people walking from far enough away to have time to cover up. What was less predictable was people driving. The road I used has quite a bit of forestry traffic but that’s big, slow and noisy so plenty of warning. It also serves quite a few carparks for tourists, dog walkers, and general outdoor enthusiasts so there was a chance that cars, maybe several at once, would appear. I thought about that. I decided that if someone slowed down to ask me what the hell I was doing, I’d tell them it was a dare and hope they understood and ideally laugh. If anyone was annoyed enough to stop, it would be their problem not mine, but I really didn’t want to annoy anyone so although it was a small risk, it was on my mind. By far the biggest risk would have been cyclists but I decided to assume that all cyclists are friendly to naturists!!!

The local newspapers round here can be very old-fashioned and they do sometimes report that the police are looking for an alleged naked hiker or whatever, but the stories never get any further than that. I guess some people equate all public nudity with “flashing” (in a sexual assault sense)  and maybe someone standing naked by a road could be described as “flashing at passing motorists”.

I decided that the risk was small, I’d use the “doing a dare” excuse, and it did turn out to be very good fun on the day 🙂

These are my submissions for Dare #12.

They are taken in Irchester Country Park, there is some nice engraving on the bench

I also took this one next to fairly big drop in the woods, it doesn’t meet the dare conditions, I just like the picture 🙂

I also walked around naked (carrying my clothes) for a good 10 minutes. Fortunately the rain wasn’t cold but did keep the public away.  It was great to feel the wind and rain all over my body, very liberating
