I know it’s a little early to raise this subject, but with only one winner for Vote-Off #6 and everyone happy for their video to go forward into the next round, we only need one more participant to be able to run Vote-Off #7. It could possibly run in the last week of this month?

I think everyone in Vote-Off #6 has agreed to do Vote-Off #7 if they lose. That gives us 3 as a starting position.

Happy to have my entry be used in Vote-off #7 if I lose. I will submit an entry too if I manage to win if the numbers are low so we can keep the momentum going. I have a couple of ideas for more interesting locations for my next try… 😜

It feels like only a small part of the community are contributing which is a shame. We need to drive some enthusiasm and activity that fires up the people we have and also find a way to get more to join, especially woman.

Absolutely. I’ve been trying to get women to join this community since before it started. I keep going, but it would be great if there was more enthusiasm, more people spreading the word and more support.

That’s fantastic, Matt. There were three (maybe more) people who told me they wanted to take part in #6 but didn’t get a video ready in time. I’d love to get some of them involved too.

I’ve just opened Vote-Off #7 for video submissions.

What should we do about the votes for participants who didn’t “win” Vote-Off #6?

The three main options are:

1. They are used so forget them.
2. Carry 50% of them forward into Vote-Off #7
3. Carry 100% of them forward into Vote-Off #7

I’d go for 2 myself, but I’d love to hear what you think.

That would put any new participants at a disadvantage however as the voting was so low it probably won’t make much odds. Anything that drives voting get my ‘vote’ but my preference would be 1 to put everyone on a level playing field.

I’d had no contact from the three people who said they would take part but were having trouble getting it done in time last time. Two of them haven’t logged into the community for over a week now.
