No longer using YouTube for videos here.

Embedded YouTube videos only make up a small proportion of the videos in the forums here especially since YouTube has been blocking embedding and causing videos to appear as a notice to watch the video directly on YouTube. Now they’ve started requiring a credit card as proof of age to view videos marked as mature only, I’m giving up on them completely.

The ads have gone mad there lately, I agree. I don’t agree with them on principle, but it makes ad blockers a whole lot more appealing.

Anyone know any Youtube style video hosting sites that allow nudity, also allow their videos to be embedded but aren’t full of adverts for hardcore porn?

Difficult one Ed – I lost a Vimeo account for posting a short strip poker movie (they couldn’t/wouldn’t tell me if it was because of the nudity or copyright infraction), so the risks are similar to YouTube nudity.  Dailymotion are similar.

Dailymotion went a few years ago. They were great but they were taken over by a company that decided to strip away all the nudity. I had an account and posted there regularly but they deleted me. Currently, it feels like we’re heading back to the world of puritanism.
