Today I’ve been re-adding the bonus videos that our valued Community Supporters can watch or download. There are quite a few to go, but I’m getting there.
You have probably noticed a few more tweaks and changes to the rest of the website. The new categories panel has been integrated into the title of the site. I hope it’s obvious what that does, but it does look a lot better and takes up less space.

Black text on an orange background is really hard to read.

Really? I thought it was easier to read than the previous one. I’ll put it back. It was suggested to me that maintaining a continuity of colour scheme for all the “Latest Activity” boxes would make it clearer that they were displaying the same information.

I returned it to white on the 7th of July after receiving a complaint.

I haven’t got much time to work on this today, but I’ve transferred a few more photos to the blog. There are well over 300 posts in the blog now, mostly embedded naked videos but also news, photos, Community Supporter content and more.

Just so I’m clear, being the complete Luddite that I am, if I want to view videos now, I have to create a Patreon account (and pay?).
I saw you changed the forum updates colours back…I was only saying that me personally I found black text on an orange background hard to read…but it could have been fine for everyone else? I was just adding my $0.02.

The tricky thing is if only one person gives me any feedback on the change, that view makes up 100% of opinion I hear back about it. Everyone was free to jump on the forum and tell me they liked/preferred the change but no-one did.
Also, I know that people are 4x more likely to complain about a problem than they are to praise an improvement.
Also, there’s a difference between preferring one of the colour schemes and something being “really hard to read”. I have a duty to make sure, wherever possible that nothing on the site is hard to read.

On the old system there was the option to stay logged in. With Patreon it isn’t happening. It’s no big deal if not, but is there a way round this?

Patreon’s help on this is near non-existent. I don’t use the “LOG IN WITH PATREON” button but I can see the Patreon-locked posts anyway as it states I am the owner of them.
Do you have to be logged into the site using that button, or do you just need to be logged into Patreon (on their site) and then visit NEC?

Ah – the answer is to link your Patreon and WordPress accounts!
I didn’t know about that. That should solve the issue.

The only problem is that when you are logged in, the log-in button is hidden. I’ve tried to fix it by adding a new link (just text right now, not a button) in the right column when you are logged in.
In theory, you should log into this site first (and choose remain logged in). Once you are logged in, then you log into Patreon and it should link the two accounts. That way, in future you can log in with your normal existing NakedExperiment account and get your Patreon perks (providing you keep up your patronage on Patreon).
As the admin of the site, I cannot test this myself. If anyone tries this, could you please let me know how you get on? Thanks!

It is a little awkward that I cannot see who is a patron on Patreon and who is not. Ideally I’d like to keep the badge system but Patreon does not support it and patrons often have different usernames on Patreon and here on NE.
