I can’t remember being asked to get naked, other than for a medical years ago, so I can’t say how I’d react if instructed to remove my clothing, other than to guess that due to being a long time nudist I’d be delighted to be asked, because nudity is my prefered state.

I’ve gone on WNBR and never found it embarrassing to be naked when outside of the other riders all of the onlookers were clothed. For me the point was that I wanted to make the most of the opportunities to be nude in well-known public places, when I’d risk arrest on other occasions if I was naked there. As a nudist I enjoy being naked wherever I can be.
I don’t find it embarrassing to be naked among only women either. Again that is because I’m a nudist, but I also enjoy CFNM situations.

I went on a number of WNBRs in London when we lived there and have returned for a few since. I usually went with the same small group of friends. We mostly went to the start point in Hyde Park. In earlier years people met up to get naked and body paint each other in an open part of the park. Later rides saw some screening off of the start area to allow a bit of privacy. Prior to that we’d witnessed an increasing number of ‘photographers’ behaving in a very intrusive manner, Some had expensive cameras with changable lenses but many had the smaller digital cameras and even more just used their phones. About 99% of these photographers were male and many were young, possibly seeing their first public nuidty judging from their excitement levels.
My friends and I were all long time nudists, well experienced in both social and public nudism. We found the lack of respect too much, so it was likely to be much worse if you were young, female amd new to public nudity. Like many other riders we loved the opportunities to be naked in well known public places and to interact with onlookers and posed with and for them, But there was much more respect in the interactions with them than what we’d seen from the ‘photographers’ at the start. We spoke to other riders and found that they had similar thoughts to us.
We stopped going.

I’ve been a moderator/administrator on various nudist/naturist websites over the years, going back to the days of bulletin boards prior to the WWW. Getting female participation has always been much harder than that of men, much like it often is when you go to a UK nude beach there are many more nude men there.
Many of the female nudists/naturists that I know get fed up with the uninvited hassle they get from some men, so they only vist the beaches with partners and friends and are very low profile online.

That sounds like an ideal opportunity to work nude, as you say the remoteness, lack of visitors early in the day and the sound of vehicles arriving helped to enable the opportunity. I guess that there’d be quieter seasons when you’d get longer periods to be nude there but the weather wouldn’t be so good.

Its a basic fact of life that we all learn from our mistakes, even if we have to repeat the mistake a number of times to realise! Its part of the growing up process, which continues through life. The medium that we’re communicating on here has gone through myriad changes, lessons learned from experiments that failed.

Are these questions still on the agenda?
If so perhaps a supporters’ dares section would mean that people who are reluctant to be seen participating in them on the WWW might take part if they knew they’d only be seen by fellow supporters, or start there before gaining the confidence to bare more on the wider internet. Being seen full-frontal naked and recognisable online doesn’t come naturally to everyone, but it is a lot of fun. Starting off by only exposing what people are comfortable with (i.e. naked above the waist with face turned away) to their fellow NE members could be a way that leads to eventually showing all, to all. I know quite a lot of nudists who’ve been getting naked in public at beaches for a long time, they’re very comfortable doing so, but they baulk at the idea of being nude online, though their curiosity about the experiences of those of us who are recognisable online as nudists doesn’t seem to lessen.
You may well get higher participation if members know it will only be other supporters who can see each other, you might also get more supporters.

There is something about enjoying all of those aspects of nakedness that helps keep me sane too. I’ve been lucky to have seen many thousands of people naked in real life and hopefully they haven’t been put off of life without clothes when they’ve seen me nude. I’ve seen even more naked people online and in other media. I suspect I’ll never get bored with seeing naked people or wanting to be nude with others, Its fascinating and stimulating. I love some music and a good book or film, but I don’t want to experience them over and over again, like I do with my own and other peoples’ nudity.

I’m not suggesting that NE tries to replace the original NSFW Tumblr but it could replicate some of it that is relevant here, without being a mostly photo/video sharing site in the mould of Tumblr, the server costs are high. I know that there is some good coverage here of ‘non-porn nudity, nudism blogs, naked art, discussions and reviews’, nudity in its various forms attracts attention, building on that basis could be the foundation of a very good NE, better than it even is now!
