Two submissions so far. As soon as we get two more, I can kick off the event.

We can’t have men and women in the same event unless they were all couples, otherwise the women would take all the votes. Plua only one woman has ever volunteered anyway. Getting ladies to participate is always a major challenge 🙁

It’s been a struggle to make the community more attractive to women. One of the problems that often happens, pretty much every time a woman does join is that everyone tries to add her as a friend and start conversations. In most cases they feel overwhelmed and leave within a couple of days.
It’s a vicious circle as the lack of women makes this problem worse and, in turn, contributes to the lack of women.

Not if she’s the only one, no. If we did an event with 4 men and 1 woman, the woman will take the vast majority of the votes and it would all be over very quickly. It wouldn’t really be much of a competition.
I still think the fairest way to do it would be male/female pairs (ie couples). That way there’s no competition between the sexes.

No idea, it seems that to my knowledge we only have one couple active here. Maybe if we did a females only instead, but even then it would require lots of women that are active (at least 4) which we do not have.

There are two routes forward for that. Either, as a community, we try to encourage as many people as possible (from outside this community) to get involved. That may not increase the percentage of women here but 0.5% of 1000 gives much better odds than 0.5% of 250.
Or, we try to make the community much more attractive to women. Some of that is the vicious circle that women don’t stay because when they do visit the community there seem to be no other women here, but the single most common complaint I get from women is that as soon as they join, several men hit on them within hours. If they post in the forums, that gets even worse. Most of us are fine, but it only takes a small minority to ruin it for everyone else.

Admittedly, I’ve only spoken with four women about the vote off events but all of them have said they would not even consider taking part while the community is essentially all men. Before Christmas, I had two couples lined up to probably take part if I could find more. That all fell apart in December.
During the course of a year, we get easily enough women interested to put together an event but they often only stay a couple of weeks and we never seem to get more than one or two at a time. It’s depressing. I feel like I’m going around in circles.
After the last vote-off event, visitors to the site were way up, we gained a lot of new members and two new women expressed an interest in the experiments (neither will join the site though 🙁 ). Now I’ve lost contact with one, the experiments are postponed until the lockdown ends, visitors to the community have fallen by 50% and it’s lost about 1/3rd of the Community Supporters.
I try to stay positive but this one step forward, one step back thing has been going on for years now.

Maybe it’s time to make a rule that is Dont hit on new members or something of the like, and those who do so are removed. This is all just thinking out loud.

Things seem to have stalled at just 2 participants. I don’t think that’s enough to proceed. Should we keep things open for a while?

Absolutely!
There have only been 2 signups so far. Sadly two people dropped out at the last moment and a third suddenly quit the site.
I thought we were safe for 6 participants this time, but that seems a long way off right now.

Can we run this with just 3 participants? I think 4 is a passable number but 3 doesn’t feel like much of a competition. It would be over quite quickly.

Can anyone who said they wanted to do it in December but couldn’t because they were too busy or wouldn’t have an opportunity, take part now?

Is there are no more volunteers is it best to drop the whole thing or go ahead with just three?
Someone yesterday suggested that participants from the first event who did not end up fully exposed could take part again with the same photos and I could miss out the two extra photos from this one for everyone else.

I disagree with missing out the additional photos for the new contest if you did reuse participants from the first. The new set of photos have been supplied so it is almost a waste of time having taken the “rear” photo if it isn’t used.
I have supplied specifically for the second contest as well so am up for it – but if I hadn’t then that might have been because I didn’t want to take part again. If some from the first contest aren’t taking part, maybe they have a reason not to? Would you want the hassle of them complaining about misuse of their image?
You could always contact those who survived the first contest and ask them to provide just the additional photo. That confirms they are willing and supportive of their image being used this time, saves their time, and gives you the extra participant or two.

There are regular female visitors. According to profiles, around 8% of regulars are female but they rarely post (probably because guys tend to hit on them when they make their presence known.
I’m not sure what you mean by the “lack of activity prior to today”? All the activity you can see is prior to today. Your post was number 7000. Not as high as I would like but not bad.
We’re still aiming to have a Vote-Off event with women but I can’t see that happening soon.

I wrote 27, civil servant from Bulgaria. That will be fine I think. BTW, Ed what happens to all the photos of those who don’t make it to the final round? When will the competion start and can I get a link when it is active? I understand that onlz suppporters can vote ?
P.S. Sorrry for the silly questions from the newbie. 🙂 I probably won’t get far in the rounds anyways..

Those unused photos don’t get published at all.
Voting is open to everyone. You don’t have to be a supporter to vote (although voting does help support this site).
Unless anyone else lets me know he is about to send photos too, I’ll start the competition within a day of receiving your photos. I’ll post a link here, add one to the menu (at the top of the site) and do an announcement on the blog too. As soon as I know everything is working, I’ll start announcing it on social media too.

Sending them again. It seems the Drive was full . And the pictures were too HD. So might need to downsize them i guess. The phone was 64 Mpixels. I wiil again send link to drive and all should be okay. On another topic of the arousal is it because we respects the ladies in the group or just to keep it asexual ?

Got most of them, just waiting for permission to download two of them. 64 Mpixels? Wow! Mine’s only 21Mpixels. Some poor people are still running on 13Mpixels.
Arousal is against community rules and I’m not making an exception for this event.

Great news!
I’ve received all the required photos from all four participants and I’m building the appropriate pages and the voting spreadsheet now. I should publish the main competition page by lunchtime tomorrow and will allow the purchase of votes as soon as those pages are published. Voting can start at 9pm (GMT) tomorrow evening and will run until 9pm on Thursday. I’m posting the pages a few hours before the start so I can make sure everything works before voting starts.
If anyone else wants to take part you’ve got until around 11am tomorrow to get the photos to me! ( Ed @ NakedExperiment.com)
