Checking back I got an email, but someone was already naked when I got it, and i didn’t click it was carrying on for a bit. Ah well. I would do it again, if it helps you out

How’s this for a variation:
We run the vote-off as photos (one item lost per photo) but when anyone ends up completely naked, I post a short video of that participant undressing to completely nude and slowly turning all the way around to show everything.
Would that work for you?
I guess you could call it a hybrid of both types.

I guess people have been waiting for something that gives an idea of what the vote off might entail before responding. I know there were various messages about it before.
I think if it just stays the format I’m not really into that. Weve done it a few times now. Some variation of the idea would be good but not sure what that would look like.
I really like the variation of Ed telling people on a video call what to take off. So it’s not like people are just stripped but all entrants do a video call with ed to submit their photos. So you start on Skype or whatever. Share your video and ed tells you top, bottoms, turn around, underwear, cover with your hands, nothing. So it like your being instructed to do it not just doing it. Then ed already has the video completely for when people get naked also your area not just stripping but you are being told to stop and doing it in front of someone else. I dunno just something to make it more everoed from previous stuff. Like I said before adding an interview element to it so each player while being told to strip is also being asked a question. For each item they strip off then at the end a short speech about it felt being told to strip each item and getting naked in front of Ed on camera live as he requested it. And how you feel about being voted naked that way.
Just feels like vote off has been done and needs more variation than just getting naked. Like it needs something to add a story to it a bit. Maybe each photo has to be in a different place or something random like that. It makes it more difficult to collect the images but more interesting to watch it unfold.

I keep trying to get feedback on the vote-off content but whatever I suggest just makes possible participants tell me they are dropping out. More than one person dropped out permanently because of suggestions.
I would love to have a theme or to do something different. I prefer photos to video (it’s easier to sell, less work – but not hugely so) and video introduces technical issues for many people (format, quality, aspect ratio etc.). Because photo vote-offs run over multiple stages, they drive more activity on the site and lead to more voting.
It would be cool to do it outdoors (but some people can’t/won’t and in some places it’s illegal). A clothing theme (eg smart outfits) would be of more interest but, again, some people can’t. Others don’t like it. People have suggested daring locations or involving other people but there is opposition to that for similar reasons.
Skype is mostly terrible for anything like this. Video quality is hugely variable. Reliably capturing video is tricky. Getting a good camera position combined with decent lighting isn’t possible for everyone (webcams mostly don’t come close to modern mobile phone cameras). I’m not in a position to give audio instructions (based in a shared office), and my previous experience of trying to get people online at the same time is a can of worms I don’t want to open again.
There’s no point in me dictating a new format or theme (I’ve tried that before!). We need those who are interested in participating to suggest ideas and debate them with the other participants to work out what everyone is interested in doing and willing to do. I will try to keep things within the limits of the site etc.
I’ve made quite a few suggestions over the past few years but many of those got shot down.

Having done 1 vote off already I can’t get excited about doing a second one in a similar way. If you come up with enough people willing to try a variation let me know.
As for video stuff zoom video works quite well most of the time. If someone has time to set a timer on their phone 6 times to get naked, a video is like quicker if you don’t have to keep going back and setting a timer for the next shot.
I guess the reason I think a zoom or Skype call with you telling people when to strip and what just kind of ties in more with the experiments side of the site. It’s giving up control and being told to do something in front of someone else live while they command and watch. I like that it could be a conversation style video too. Maybe this could be something else. Like if you find enough people willing to do a Skype or zoom call set up a monthly member strip video for the blog. Record the video on zoom or Skype call. When the date and time is arranged make the meeting room available to patreon members to join if they want to watch live. Then do the recording telling them when and what to strip, asking questions about the person and what they are thinking. Then a small interview at the end. Then make the interview available on the blog for patreon only. I’m sure you could find a few members willing to take part in something like this.

I know from experience, the only way to get people to participate is to get some discussion going and thrash out some consensus on what people want and are prepared to do. If I just dictate a new plan, 3/4 of people who might otherwise take part, will just drop out.
It’s difficult to get 4-6 people at the same time who are willing to take part anyway. But then it’s also hard to get people to engage in a discussion.

It’d hard to change the format too much. I can’t do stuff with other people but would have a crack at any variations and see if they were possible.
One thing I suggested a while back was some sort of extre forfeit for the winner and a bonus for those who voted.
Were I to win, I would happily do a Skype call with Ed/voters and follow instructions.
Any other possible competitors what do you think?
Just the idea of making it worth while voting for other than the competitors.

We haven’t even discussed what will be in the photos yet!
Also, I can’t even consider starting the event before we have 5 or more participants.
