I was looking at public nudity/dares sites where I could post my own content and get involved when I found this site. It seemed like a good place to get involved and share my love of being naked in private and in public with other like minded people. So many other sites are all about hardcore porn rather than just enjoying nudity, it’s difficult to find content that doesn’t turn into porn. I feel very comfortable here which is why this is the first site where I have ever posted naked pictures of myself showing my face. It’s a friendly community that makes people feel welcome.

Well I was a member four years ago and recalled it recently… not sure how I found it back then, sorry.
But it should be about nudity and important to focus on that rather than the content that can be found on other sites. It would be helpful I suspect to create local communities of members to allow safe meetings to happen. Not sure how best to organise those for safety however.

Constant internet searching… I’ve been a naturist, though I prefer “nudist” for years and have been constantly dissapointed by the official organisations which, despite their protestations, seem to go for reclusive nudity and treat it as medical advantage as being “good for you” Nudity however displayed is a deeply complex thing with many aspects, (the photo above illustrates this), its a package that is never opened. I hope this site will help open the box.

Yeah, I really think Facebook’s days are numbered. I’m not sure what the replacement will be, but people are really gravitating away from it. I have an account but may go a year or more without check it.

Most incoming visitors are still arriving here from Twitter. Direct (ie not from another site) and Google Search are the next most common.
Personal recommendations seem to be pretty effective, but the topic of this community is a tricky one to raise on social media for most members.

Found it through Twitter. I’d been looking around to be more vocal about enjoying being naked, and this account came up. I think I reached it by clicking through some other accounts, and retweets, stuff like that.
Not the question, but something I’d like to add: what I appreciate is that here, it’s not necessarily about “Are you a nudist? And/or a naturist? What do those words mean for you?” but rather, simply, more welcoming maybe: hey, you like to get naked, great, join the club!

I know what you mean. I’m not interested in the politics within and between the naked communities. Having said that, it gets a bit annoying sometimes when journalists assume that nakedness is only about sex, or is always threatening or whatever. For me, it’s just a way of having a bit of harmless fun, being slightly subversive, pushing my boundaries a bit, and so on. Also, campaigns like “free the nipple” are interesting, not just because of the female toplessness, honest!! It’s strange that society wants to control our bodies at all, and even stranger that it has such different attitudes to male and female nudity.

Hi, new here. I’ve just found this site via Google as I was searching for some information about being nude or partially nude in a public setting. Think I Googled something like ‘experimenting with nudity in public’ or something similar. This was the first topic I saw here so I thought I’d contribute right away. I’m a beginner but hoping to learn more about this sort of thing.

There’s an article on this site that might begin to help with that:
General confidence with nudity can get you over the initial challenge of public nudity (nerves and anticipation just before can be tricky), and like most other things, being naked in front of other people gets easier with practice.
I’m biased, obviously, but I would strongly recommend signing up for a Naked Experiment session.

But like most people, the first time I did it my heart was racing but after about 10 minutes and everyone already doing the same thing, I totally relaxed. By the time the trip was over, I dreaded putting clothes on and leaving. Hopefully, you’ll find a comfortable spot to give it a try.

It depends on how your friends would react, but step 6 could be easier to arrange.
Many find the nude beach etc. easier because you don’t need to be close to anyone and most find it easier to be naked in front of strangers. Option 6 might be easier to organise but being naked in front of people you know can be more of a challenge.

Being naked around other people in Step 5 is basically the same as in Step 4 – but outside…
Still not easy and it’s where my comfort zone ends. Being naked in a public place with non-nude people is the boundary I cannot cross. I did once and got a bad response, so I’m hoping one of @Ed s experiments will help.

I don’t mind who sees me naked, but I often see press reports saying the police were called when a naked person was spotted outside. It’s as if a naked person either needs help or needs to be arrested, and – either way – the best thing to do is call the police. So I get naked if there’s no realistic chance of me being “caught”. I’ve stopped trying to keep covered up if I’m changing on the beach or changing-room, but I do that as quickly as possible before anybody gets offended. I don’t know why people get so panicked by seeing someone naked.

Most people don’t mind but they react as they think other people will expect them to react. It’s peer-pressure outrage where the pressure is assumed more than real.

It was “just” verbal, and I hadn’t thought about “peer-presure anger”. A bit like people jumping on the “Woke” bandwagon (which has a good basis for starting but very misdirected by pople who like to be offended.
Anyway – I have finally submitted a form to take part in one of @Ed ‘s experiments which should cure that.

A few extra thoughts.
1. As long as you are comfortable being naked in different situations, having a suportive partner will help.
2. Once you do get naked outside, the feeling of the sun/wind/rain all over your body is very liberating – I’m not really a “back to nature” person but there is something special when you get rid of that final barrier between your skin and world. Well I think so ayway.
3. Do things in your time, with a little push from your bf to keep things moving along.

Twitter is the only social networking site I still use. Most of the other big ones made it impossible to discuss/announce/promote our community in their groups etc.
It would be great if some of our members here could get the word out in other relevant communities around the web.
