According to Google Analytics, this community got 40% more visitors in the most recent 28 days than the 28 days before that. That’s got to be good news.

I don’t know if logins affect but with Patreon  you seem to get logged out every few minutes.

Google doesn’t differentiate between logged in and non-logged in visitors, and I’m only counting unique visitors so visiting several times still only counts as one.

Something’s gone wrong if you’re getting logged out automatically. It should only automatically log you out after 30 days (I think).

 

Is anyone else having a problem with Patreon’s login? I’m logged in using the site’s standard login but as my account is linked to my Patreon account, it knows to show me Patreon locked content anyway.

It’s logged me out of I’ve clicked on and off the page sometimes recentlym using the old log in keeps you logged in but you can’t see everything.

That definitely shouldn’t happen. I don’t know if it’s a problem with cookies or caching. Have you tried more than one browser?

I hate using anything other than Google chrome 🙂 I’ll try another if we get feedback that say edge works better.

I basically only use Chrome because I have to. It’s a massive resource hog, is less stable than several of the alternatives and the constant updates are just annoying. But, it’s the market leader so I have to use it. Also, for the same reason, WordPress and all the plugins are written to work with Chrome.

The site is still holding a 36% upswing on the previous 28 days. Long may that continue.

Now what we need is more people to get involved in discussions and activities here on the site. Any ideas?

Weirdly, this week, the number of visitors is down a little (not enough to concern me) but a closer look at the stats reveals something interesting. Unique visitors from the UK, Germany and Holland (3 of our 4 main visitor sources) are up substantially but visitors from the US are down by fractionally more. Anyone got any ideas as to why that has happened? Did I do/say something to offend our US friends?

Visitors continue to climb, which is great, but the number of attempts to hack my password has also increased. It’s an automated attack (11 attempts every 10 mins like clockwork) and completely inept, but I wish they’d just give up.

Don’t worry, it happens a lot. It’s a simplistic robotic attack, but it wastes processor time and bandwidth on the server. It’s annoying more than anything.
