Someone’s having a really good go at cracking the password for the admin account. Currently getting 10-20 failed logins per minute. The security system keeps automatically blocking them but then whatever/whoever it is just changes IP address and comes in from a different country. The security system is doing a good job but there are other measures in place that mean this kind of attack cannot work anyway, but it’s still worrying.

Hopefully, they’ll give up soon and move onto another website.

Attempts to brute force my admin login are still ongoing. For weeks now, someone has been wasting their time and the server’s bandwidth. There’s no way they will get into my account with that approach but I wish they’d give up as they are using up my bandwidth and slightly slowing down the server.

Last night there was another futile attempt to get in.

Only an idiot administrator would use the username “admin”! It doesn’t matter how many times they try, that account doesn’t even exist.
