Totally.

I wear glasses and a ring normally – even those are removed to be completely nude. Even body paint acts as a layer and makes me feel partially clothed!

I’ve not done bodypaint yet, but – yes – I imagine it would feel like clothes.

A few years ago, I noticed an event an London, in or near the South Bank Centre, for artists to draw each other nude, ideally. The point was that the artist and the model would both be naked, not just the model. It said that if you really couldn’t get naked, you had to at least have bare feet.

I’ve always wished I’d gone in, but I doubt if they’d have believed my explanation that the childish stick figures I would have been drawing were an artistic interpretation of the human form. I could claim I was “in the style of Lowry” I suppose.

Also, there was no distinction between artists and models. Everyone would draw each other.
