What a weird conversation to be having

I’ve just found out the national average is 7-8 minutes.

But if so many people shower daily (which we all know is not medically recommended), maybe it would make more sense to encourage people to have less showers (eg 3-4 per week) instead of trimming more than 50% off each shower.

I may be a guilty party here. Time under the shower is typically around 30 mins. I use that time to completely de-stress myself. I also recycle rain water before using just the tap stuff so i don’t feel as bad.

I’m probably in there a little longer than most. I wash off and also shave in the shower so it takes me a little longer. And sometimes I just enjoy the steam likes its a sauna. 🙂

LOL. I like hot showers. The tankless heater I have will go really hot but I think it is set to around 125F (~49C). I use very little cold water with it but at that temperature you can almost burn yourself. I get it to just the point I can barely stand it and just let it relax me. Then I try to finish with a minute of nothing but cold water. Now that part is tough!! HA

I’ve never timed myself but I doubt if it’s anywhere near 5 minutes actually under the spray.

My dad complains if I take a shower more than 10 minutes cause he feels it is wasting water so after 10 minutes he yells for me to get out of the shower. If he’s not home though I take longer.
