Some people have come very close, but no-one has quite reached 10 points in the Master Dare List. Maybe, now we’re back into the hot weather, more people will give it a go?

I’m wary of the on/near a rail line one as, apart from level crossings (which are getting rarer) walking on the railway is an offence. All the level crossings I know of have CCTV these days.

Next to a post box is viable but it’s a great deal different to “Naked in the Street”. Does anywhere still have post boxes in rural lanes?

Someone has suggested sitting in the road before (it may have been you?) but given that most of the participants tend to be quite mature, I’m concerned that it could be dangerous if people can’t quickly get out of the way of approaching vehicles.

Next to someone else’s car could be interesting. Does it need a tighter definition?

These were all suggested by someone else at least 18 months ago, there was also by a lake or river and a few others.

I don’t know if you can or should limit the dares to what’s legal everywhere.

In the US I don’t think there is the problem with railline tresspass but outdoor nudity is (or can be).  In the UK it’s the reverse, but we could use a railway footbridge (I’m lucky to have the Nene Valley Railway nearby and there are quite a few crossing points).

I think I am amongst the oldest (if not the oldest) and, like the railway, is it fair to limit every dare to only what everyone can do physically?  Just putting it out there.

Your comment quite clearly says “do not break the law” and you could additionally add “don’t do anything beyond your ability”.  For me that would be nude swiming (which was another suggestion), I’m not a strong swimmer so wouldn’t do it, similarly, at this moment in time, being nude with clothed members of the public, but I wouldn’t want others to be denied those options because of that.

One of the strong points of this comunity is “live and let live”, so just putting out there that the extra dares extends opportunities rather than excludes people.

I  might be biased because I already have pictures or short videos for some of these 😉

Geography, personal preferences/hangups can all make a huge difference. I’d prefer a bigger list as there are a lot on the current list that I will struggle to complete. Most of the outdoor areas in the list are always busy in my neck of the woods, even early morning or late evening.

It’s supposed to be a challenge, varying from easy at-home stuff to very difficult things. To add more in the middle of the list is tricky as and no-one has suggested anything suitable and worthwhile yet. To be honest, I’ve been looking more for dares to add on the end (ie more challenging).

I don’t think it does, but I’ve heard lots of community members mention doing dares when it stops raining or when there’s a dry spell.

I live in wales so if I stayed in when it was raining, I’d never go outdoors!

Rain keeps other people indoors more, makes public area less public so more chance to get stuff done.

That’s a good point, but is “Next to a postbox” really any different to “In the Street” or “In a layby or carpark”?

Would it count as more difficult or less difficult?

I’ve suggested verifiable local beauty spots, on a sports field, ie by goalpost, cricket square, golf flag, tennis net etc, by a shop window (doesn’t have to be open) also on a beach is surely doable as there are naturist beaches 🙂 also paddling in a stream/River/sea, probably a fairly easy outdoor one would be in a wood…

I’ve deliberately stayed away from naturist locations (after complaints from nudists/naturists). The others you list are all viable but I don’t know where they’d fit in the list in terms of difficulty and some are just next to another piece of outdoor furniture. When we planned out the original list, the aim was a gradual scale of difficulty.

I’d rather merge those in with some of the existing ones.

So can I submit my postbox for in the street if it shows a house In the background? I’m more than happy to have these things combined. I have 2 postbox photos to be fair,

1 at night time from a couple of nights ago with a full size postbox on a bus route street so not a minor road.

2 a smaller postbox from a rural road taken during the early part of the day today. But as it’s on a backraod there are only houses on one side of the road and that happened to be on the opposite side of the road to the postbox. The post box wa directly opposite the house. Had a nice long 10 mile walk today. Tried to find another postbox and did, also tried to find a pub, well I found a few but CCTV and overlooking windows in which people were Looking out spiloiled those chances.

I’m assuming pub photos will be much easier out-of-hours, but it depends on how brave everyone is feeling!

I know you’re particularly keen on that one. Apart from pedestrian crossings, walking alongside the tracks is illegal. I could use the advice of a lawyer, but wouldn’t I be guilty of encouraging people to break the law here in the UK?

Could we do a station platform instead? Or maybe a footbridge over the line?

Also – it’s not (as far as I know) illegal in USA.
Platform or footbridge would also work (not sure how you would prove the footbridge was over a railway though).

It’s not illegal to cross a crossing and not all of them have cameras?. Some are safe to do this on except for the jogger who runs past while your getting dressed again.

Could we compromise and say “Naked on a level crossing”?

Where I live they’re getting rid of those. The only three I know have all been replaced with footbridges. As long as the railway is visible, I’d be happy to accept photos on the footbridge too.

Actually went to the supermarket out of hours the other day and the car park was filled with kids riding bikes and boy racers 🙁  might go for a drive today looking for some outdoor sites as its rainy but not cold, so hopefully not the usual bank holiday crowds out.

Hmmm, it seems I have dropped to 3rd place.

I have an overnight stay in September and hope to get a few more dares completed.
Specifically I plan the following and if I list them here then I have some pressure to do them 😉 .

9 Outside a pub
10 Naked with others in the photo
18 Naked by traffic lights

If I feel really daring there is an “adult” shop on the way home so I might also try the following, I’ll try a cover story of dares for charity donations:

21 Naked in a shop
13 Naked selfie (if there is a willing customer in the shop)
17 Naked with someone holding my clothes (again depends on a willing customer and my bravery)

I already have

19 Naked on the tracks

so that should increase my total IF I am brave enough…

It just feels utterly wrong to ask my partner can i take a naked photo of us both and send it to a bloke we havent met.

Also, it’s entirely voluntary. No-one is forcing anyone to do anything. The whole competition is voluntary.

I don’t think anyone will be able to complete “all” the dares, for many reasons.

I would just keep adding as ideas arrive.

Not limiting dares to those everyone can do means there are many more possiblilities and the more daring can explore and expand as they wish 🙂

Regarding No. 19: Does it have to be on the tracks or also applies next to the tracks. It was in a rail yard, so I couldn’t get on the tracks. But if that doesn’t apply, then I’ll take new photos somewhere.

Near the tracks (just a few metres away) would be good enough. Just make sure the tracks are visible in the photo. I won’t encourage anyone to stand directly on the tracks as it may not be safe.

I know it’s your gig and you’re the boss. But you’ve added various adaptations of the same thing, people being naked with others, which I will struggle with because I am quite introverted. Yet when I suggest other outside pictures that I may be able to do with my geographic location, as opposed to some of the other outside pics, in places that are always busy where I live, you dismiss as too samey.

Haven’t I added quite a few outdoor photo dares? Also, I’ve added some alternatives to existing dares.

The problem I guess is that I’m trying to avoid having too many at the same difficulty level (it’s supposed to be a scale or ladder), too many that are too similar and too many which are country-specific.

This is obviously a largely impossible aim. We could debate the differences and similarities forever and difficulty levels are entirely personal.
