Do you look at the videos in the blog?

I enjoy them. They show us lots of different ways that people use nudity in performances. I’ve tried a few times here to use them as conversation starters but without much success. Would they get more response if they allowed comments to be added to them? If they’re a lot of work and they’re not getting any reaction, maybe they’re not needed.

Just two of responding so far is probably not a great indication of how much they are viewed.

 

I like the videos, I think it’s nice to see how nudity is used for entertainment without it being sexualised.

I enjoy watching the performance but by far I like seeing how they perform, are they nervous are they comfortable, confident. Many of these videos if not all have been people with a relatively good body shape.

I guess something that would be cool to see in the future is are there videos of people with other body shapes doing similar things. Would be good to see if the people have the same confidence.

I like to question would I be brave enough to do do some of these things. There have been some interesting ones with people lying on the floor while others walk around them. I would love to try stuff like that just need to find an environment where its possible.

 

As for the stories, are there many stories in the news? I feel like I haven’t seen anything in UK news for ages. Seen a few articles about food places having naked nights. Might have actually looked for them rather than just finding them I can’t remember but those sort of things would be cool to know about.

News stories are very intermittent. Sometimes there will be a couple in a week but then three weeks will pass before the next one. I just don’t have the time to go repeatedly searching the net for them so I’m sure I miss the majority.

I like the videos but tend to skim the longer ones. But I’ve saved a couple to my hard drive.

Most of the news stories I stumble across are negative about nudity, unless it’s definitely about art or protest.

(The oversize pictures were just recent screenshots of a positive article about Spencer Tunic in Sidney and a negative one about an airforce commander being suspended for being seen naked in his own garden.)

If they are too long or too arty, no, but I usually have a catch up once a week if any have been uploaded.

The blog is a little weird in its relationship to the rest of the community site. It draws in more visits that any other part of the site, but most of those people don’t join the community, or even look at it in many cases. It seems most community members ignore the blog.

It’s really hard to tell if it’s worthwhile.

I still try to post at least one video a week on the blog, but I should work harder to find more news and relevant other stuff to post there too. I never seem to have any spare time.

I didn’t really know about the blog section to be honest. I’ve taken a look and love the videos, they’re very artistic. I can’t say I understand them all but they’re very interesting!

Some of them I posted because they were weird. I don’t claim to be knowledgeable about art, on any level, but some of the performances seem like an excuse to be naked in public rather than the nudity adding anything artistic to the performance.
