- So I’m still covering my face on the dares page as I can’t take those down again, but I was trying to set a “background” and decided to risk it.
The way this site treats the background picture seems inexplicable. I have tried setting a few different ones, and it selected a small area of the shot to zoom in on.
I seen this have typed this post and lost it several times, sorry if you get several versions.

You’re doing better than me technologically. I’ve not been able to upload a picture to a thread for a while. I may try on a laptop, wondering if it’s my phone playing up.
Great pictures, I know that it’s been a struggle for you to get to this point.
Did you find outdoors a lot more intense? I did, I still get nervous now where I might be seen.

The one I’ve never been able to change is the picture when I post which I think was my Google profile image when I signed up, which was a Photoshop of my favourite band’s logo onto a Constable painting. Don’t ask me why, I can’t remember 🙂

Yes, it’s nerve wracking.
It’s a fairly private area at the side of our house. It’s back from the road, but there’s no fence. I could see the cars passing, but it’s unlikely they saw me.John likes this

I can’t work out why it shows differently in some views. So in one version the nipple is covered, but not in the other.
I’ve decided not to stress.

That may be an impossible task. The problem is that the image you see when the site shows your cropped image to you is not necessarily the same image that other users will see. That will depend on their screen size and shape.
- For those on a desktop computer, it displays a wide letterbox area. On my screen at least, shows the full width of your photo but only part of the height.
- But for those on a mobile phone held in portrait orientation, it instead shows the full height and only part of the width.
That’s not something you are doing wrong. It is an inherent problem in trying to make a standard ratio photo fit two substantially different shapes with two width to height ratios that are very different to the photo. Most public web sites that allow uploaded photos have exactly the same problem, unless they give you the option of uploading different photos for landscape and portrait representations.
But you might be able to improve it. How much do you actually want to show in the image? Do you want any part of the face to show? And how much of the breast?

Am I going to get the site into any trouble with nipples visible on some views? The rules for profile photos are clearly aimed at men as there are far more of you!

I’m not worried about female nipples in profile or avatar photos.

I only use my phone for this, and I’m not sure of the exact crop on the original photo. I think I’m going to leave it for now.

Trying to get an understanding of the numbers. Patreon also gives a list of names, but they come to almost 100 and that doesn’t fit with any of the other numbers, so I don’t know how many people I’m actually showing my pictures to.

Those figures are misleading. They’re not active to begin with. It looks like 20-30 via Patreon, according to server stats.

I’m going to try and post on the laptop in a thread later and see if the phone is the cause of my picture woes.

I don’t think it’s using either the full height or width on my current background. It seems unpredictable.

And the story of the photo is that I had a crazy idea to try driving along the narrow road topless. I drove 5 miles and was passed by 7 cars, but I doubt anyone saw in the dark. I then stopped in a deserted layby, but didn’t try to get any photos before I got decent and carried on.
I wasn’t naked, but topless is trouble enough for me. When I stopped the car, the road was dark and deserted. I got out of the car and walked around it, wondering how I would react if a car came along. It didn’t happen. I’d probably have hidden.

You’re getting more daring than me 🙂 I’ve never driven even topless, and topless isn’t even an issue for men.
There are accounts on the BN website of people regularly driving naked.
I think I need to get my confidence back after the crash before I can think seriously about that.

It was a very quiet country lane, and 10 miles from home, in the dark.
I’m not sure why I’m doing this stuff, but the reorganisation of the site means it feels like now or never for the dares, and I didn’t like being on the bottom of the list.
I think I need to pull back for a bit now. -

The cover picture says the picture should be 1300 by 225 pixels. So long and thin.
It’s like a Facebook banner not a normal photo. The cover photo also resizes based on screen size so on mobile of you switch between vertical and horizontal you’ll see it changes a bit how much it shows.
Thanks for the reminder to add profile pics though.
It’s good that you are getting involved testing out your limits of things but don’t do anything you will regret in the future. The way back machine never forgets, once something is posted online it’s almost certainly out there forever even after you delete it.
