I don’t think I’m brave enough to take part lol and I remember you said earlier how you want there to be vote offs that are either all male or all female so I don’t know if we even have the female attendance for one

I know I’ve voiced concerns about mixed-sex vote-offs but as most of the votes cast in the past couple of vote-offs were cast by participants it’s hard to say what the outcome would be.

I’m happy to try out a mixed-sex vote-off. I’d love there to be an all-female vote-off for once, but you’re right, @enfdiana, there almost certainly isn’t enough female attendance to achieve that.

I did a photo one, so little point in me taking part unless it was different. So I guess I’m voting video unless we come up with a different format.

One camera suggestion would be a stipulation that the standard pictures were taken outside and not in your garden, I’d need a challenge to push me to want to take part.

I’d prefer something like that to make it more interesting for all involved, it certainly attracts more attention when the event is different to previous ones.

The problem is, anything which makes it more challenging for everyone to get the photos/video, makes it harder to get people to take part. In the past that has often led to huge delays while trying to make up the numbers.

Anything that requires any new photos or video other than what I have sent and you can count me out. I will stand down. I had a serious fall that has required me to have several leg surgeries. So, until they completely heal I am not taking photos or video.

We have done an outside set before (in a public area) which does add to the excitment.

@ed I propose that this vote off could be different in that whoever gets the most votes gets their full frontal nude photo posted on the main front page of the website (not just the community area) on full display. How embarrassing would that be?

I would definitely take part. If I understood correctly, there are 5 items of clothing that should be removed. So there would be 6 pictures, right? I don’t care about pictures or video. But the task should be doable in order to motivate as many people as possible.

Now we seem to have enough serious interest in this one, I need to get things moving.

Is anyone interested in voting who is not participating in the photos?

The original (and very necessary) aim of the Vote Offs was to raise money towards the running costs of this community site. My ideal would be for this to make enough money to cover the site for 6 months. That would mean 40-50 people voting (which hasn’t happened yet!). The last two vote-offs haven’t even covered 2 months. With Patreon income down substantially (looking like that will be £10-12 this month as most renewals don’t happen), something needs to improve.

I usually state a minimum votes purchase for participants but if that’s all the transactions, it will struggle to raise much more than £20. Obviously, I could raise the minimum but that will put people off taking part and the whole thing works SO much better if we have more people voting.

Since we lost KoFi, votes will have to be purchased via PayPal.

So, how do we get more people to vote? What do WE do to attract more people and get more interaction with the vote-off generally?

Please don’t just give me a list of stuff for me to do. I’m going to have my hands more than full with setting up and running the event. Is there any way participants could encourage online friends to vote for them (from other communities etc.)?

I’m open to suggestions!

While I realize that you are trying to raise money, I strongly believe volunteering to be stripped naked is a big enough contribution to the website. I have no plans to purchase votes for myself. If there is a minimum $$$ I have to pay to enter the contest then simply don’t include me.

I think all the participants have appeared naked on the site more than once previously anyway. I’ve always viewed it (gratefully) as participants volunteering their potential nudity to support the site.  The reason for the event is to raise money. It’s a fun activity (and a bit of a competition) to raise funds. It’s a HUGE amount of work for me (probably around 2-3 hours per day for 10-14 days). I don’t expect to get paid for this obviously, but why would I use £250-300 (assuming minimum wage) of my time on this if the site doesn’t gain anything?

I just can’t run this site, pay for bandwidth etc., dedicate large chunks of my time, cover emergencies (eg server outages, attacks etc.) and do all the admin for nothing. It looked hopeful that Patreon would cover the running costs for a while but after the initial surge, that’s heading downwards.

We need to discuss the photo requirements first. Personally, I prefer 6 photos as that seems to work best, based on previous vote-offs. I’m not going to set outside/inside on this one – everyone can do whichever they prefer.

Also, I need time to do this. I’m busy for the next week or so. The vote-offs don’t work too well when I’m not around to manage the votes, update the pages and update the spreadsheet (votes cast/votes left/votes accrued for each person).

I could just request them but, based on previous experience, we need to discuss what everyone wants and (more importantly) what potential participants are willing to do. Otherwise I’ll have to keep modifying the photo spec page and asking participants to send new photos as the requirements change.

I have said this several times but if there are ANY special photo requirements then I AM OUT!  Ed already has a bunch of photos of me stripping that could be used. I am not taking any new photos due to a leg injury.

If he can use the photos he already has then fine but if it requires boxers instead of briefs or thong, etc. (any special requirements) then I will have to drop out.

Which don’t get me wrong, If that is what everyone else wants to do then that is fine, I will just not participate and watch instead. I don’t have to be a part of the vote-off.

I was hoping you could have used what I had provided. I cannot take new photos due to an injury. But that’s no problem, other can participate.
