A different kind of Vote-Off?

Something that’s been suggested to me a few times, but I don’t think we’ve discussed, is the sudden-death style vote off. Participants are shown in a grid of fully clothed photos and voting is left open for say 7 days. At the end, the person with the most votes has a video published of him/her stripping completely naked. Everyone else remains fully clothed.

There’s maximum contrast between winners and losers and as only one person gets naked, the stakes are heightened.

This would not be a replacement for the current style of vote-offs but an occasional variation.

Not sure if I’d do another one or not.

I really like the idea of the who should be undressed photo series. I could definitely be up for something like that. But that needs someone willing to meet up with you and be willing to strip you and or let you strip them.

@takeallmyclothes no one here is worried about bodyshapes. I think for me at least this site has shown me that this community is about being comfortable being naked and being able to express that without judgement. So long as you are comfortable no one else here cares if you are 8 stone or 20 stone. You will be supported in whatever part of your nakedness you feel you want share.

@since1980 thanks for the words of encouragement.  Much appreciated.

The 7-day sudden death game, I MIGHT be up for.  Would you need someone to strip you nude though?  I’d just set up my iPhone, use my remote and take the photos.  We’ll see how it goes.

A tripod, phone stand or just some books to prop it up, would do. For photos, I’d recommend using a timer, preferably using timelapse if your camera app does it.

Is 7 days about right for such an event? Many members don’t visit every day so I want to give enough time for everyone to see it, but I’m also aware taking too long might put people off…

I think probably about right?  I’m not an expert though.

So, would it be a grid of 4 (or ideally more) people, fully clothed, and then over the course of a week, the votes are tallied up and on the 8th day, you broadcast the loser’s video(s) stripping nude (might have to be submitted in several parts due to video size?).

Participants should use something like OneDrive or Google Drive to send the files. The upper filesize limit there should be plenty.

I’d like at least 4 participants but many more would be better. It would be fantastic if we could get 8 or more.

So @ed …. What’s your thoughts on these new vote-off formats?

Well, I think it would be good to see some variation. Based on the amount of voting going on, the first event was almost four times more successful than the latest, and that’s been a straight-line decline. We need something to renew interest and liven things up again. I’m guessing something that shakes up the format would help.

I have to admit, the 7-day single loser idea would be great for me as I wouldn’t have to update the table every single day. Most evenings I can do it but sometimes I really struggle to fit it in. A couple of days ago, I was nearly an hour late getting to it.

Having said that, I wonder if the momentum of that one would be lost after a couple of days and the remains of the week would be pretty static, maybe with a flurry at the end. I suspect participants would probably hold most of their votes until the final couple of hours.

The other ideas of just changing the content style of the photos for each stage are probably safer, more of a known quantity, but are they enough to make a difference?

Ultimately, what the site needs is a Vote-Off with either all couples or all female participants. That would, almost certainly, generate 10x as many votes and get a lot more people visiting the site.

It’s not easy, is it?

I’m still tempted by both new suggested formats and in a couple of weeks I might think sod it and submit my photos and videos, whether the format has been agreed or not, just get some momentum.

And what are the odds of an-female or couples vote-off?  Slim? Are there even any current female members of this community?

There are female members but they keep their heads down. I added a [Block] button and supporting rules, but every time a new female member arrives, she gets immediate friend requests and private messages.

I’ve tried to discourage that behaviour but it still happens. I know there are several female members here under male names (and no I’m not going to reveal them!).

Chances of an all-female Vote-Off? Zero. I own enough suitable photos from photoshoots to do one with models, but most members are against that.

I believe a couples one is more likely, but I’ve only found one couple willing to take part.  Sadly, most of the “couples” of here are actually the male partner taking part hoping that their female counterpart might join in later. In some cases the female partner isn’t aware of the site.

As I said, it can’t be easy managing the site and people as expectations?

I’m erring towards getting involved next time if the new formats are introduced. Not yet definite (I know, I know…)
