I’ve wondered about adding descriptions but I’ve been wary as I started writing up experiment #4 and then decided against it as the thing was a bit of disaster from early on (one of the couples was problematic, caused “trouble” and then stormed out during the session). I’m probably being indecisive but I feel bad selling a written account which ends early.

Yes. I was hoping (back at the start) that the reports would make some money for the site, giving me a budget to do more stuff. The additional hope then was that after members of this community had bought a few copies it would give them a kick-start on Amazon, raising more money but more importantly attracting more people to the community. That seemed like a recipe for ongoing growth. It didn’t work out that way.

I’ve read (no idea where) that AI’s struggle to “understand” (not the right word but I don’t know the actual term) the mechanics of human fingers. There are so many pictures with hands in completely differing positions and poses that unless you already know there should be four fingers and one thumb, all those photos where less are visible (often due to angle) mislead the learning.

 

Personally, we’re a LONG way from a human-like intelligence. With picture and text generation, we’ve got something very easy to anthropomorphise and see far more intelligence than is truly present.

There are still frequent problems with fingers and it’s often best not to look too closely at the background!

No, it was something I’d done. I just used the “Generate Similar” button on pictures I’d generated in the past and got this:

That would explain it. I’m still using GetImg. I still can’t get good results out of it like I could before so it could well be them.

I seem to have inadvertently changed a setting somewhere (no idea where) and the image quality is frankly dreadful now, for me. I certainly can’t match the results I got higher up this thread.
