  Looks like I made a good call then. I got rid of the “Chat” link 4 days ago and nobody has complained.

      I was posting daily (often several times per day) for 21 days and only got one reply, and that was about four days in.
      
      If no-one’s using it and it makes the community look quieter than it is, it has to go.
