Not entirely unexpected as I was nude in a public place, but I didn’t expect this to happen.
December 2022 we had some unseasonably warm weather, and the wife was away. (She knows about this, but she’s not a fan of beaches in general, and I am.) I looked into the options for nude beaches here. There’s nothing official, but a few unofficial spots according to the internet. So one weekend I took a couple buses, walked from the highway stop down to the paid “normal” beach. Following tips from the internet, I turned right after entering the paid area, and made my way down to a remote stretch of sand away from the textiled people.
There was nobody else around. I don’t know if this spot just isn’t popular anymore, or if it would be more crowded in the summer. Maybe people weren’t as impressed by the weather forcast as I was. Both air and water were around 22 degrees and it was partly cloudy. So I got nude, took some photos of myself, enjoyed the water a bit and relaxed. As I was swimming, a group of maybe thirty people in kayaks paddled past in the near distance. They were maybe fifty metres away from me. As I was in the water, they wouldn’t have noticed anything unusual, and I didn’t think anything of it.
Eventually I got a little bored so I shoved everything in my backpack and walked nude along the shore for a while, away from the organized beach. Swimming and hiking in the open air in the nude was a fairly new and wonderful experience for me. I slowly made my way back to where I had been swimming earlier, dropped my bag and went for another swim. As I was swimming, I heard a buzz and saw a small drone flying towards me. It got pretty close and seemed to be checking me out, so I stood up, smiled and waved. It flew away.
A short while later I saw the kayaking group coming back towards me from the other side. I figured they would just go past as they did before, so I didn’t think anything of it, and kept swimming. Then the kayaks started to get closer and closer, and that’s when I heard the tour leader say something like, “let’s land here and look at some things.” And soon enough the whole group was landing right beside me, getting out onto the beach right beside me and right beside my bag. I didn’t know how long they intended to stick around, and it was getting close to the time I had to get out of there in order to make the last bus home.
So I said, “fuck it,” and marched out of the water, bare-ass naked to get to my towel. I’m sure I got a lot of stares from the children and women and some of the men, but I didn’t care. The leader of the group tried to engage me a bit, saying things like, “thanks a lot, dude,” and, “well done.” But I didn’t respond. I dried off, wrapped myself in the towel, and walked away.
I got to a place where there was a sort of bend beyond which it seemed the textiled section of the beach started, so I figured I better get dressed so as not to offend anyone. As I was getting dressed, this woman comes around the bend in full black burqa, head to toe. She sees me and promptly turns around and goes back the other way. So I either made her day or ruined her day.
Such good fun.
